James Shearman’s recorded noise under the anagram alias A Raja’s Mesh Men began in 2013 and continued up until late 2016, all self-released digital artefacts can be found here.
He made his live debut performing under this alias at Georges House Gallery (Strange Cargo), Folkestone, in 2014 for the first show put on by the Vanity Pill tape label, alongside Cropsey, Ego Death and Alocasia Garden.
He would later perform under this alias at live outings supporting touring artists Lorenzo Abattoir and Clive Henry on one occasion and Cremation Lily, Wet Nurse. and Cementimental on another – both of these shows were organised by James himself and held at Ryan’s Bar in Stoke Newington. These were part of a monthly series of live noise events held at the venue called The People’s Noise.
